I QUIT.

*Cue music: “It’s Time To Say Goodbye…”

It’s true, I am quitting, but I’m not quitting everything. I am saying goodbye to the Home Staging side of my business.

First of all, I just want to say that I have absolutely LOVED staging homes over the past 4 years. It’s been the most rewarding and fulfilling journey in stepping into the design world. When I first had the idea to start a Home Staging business, I was so fearful and inexperienced, and had this looming cloud of “what if I fail” over my head. I wanted to do it, but I didn’t want to do it if there was a chance it wouldn’t pan out. But after a lot of debating over it for days and days, I knew if I didn’t just take the leap then, I would just never do it. I took the first step, and chased after my dream, even though I had no idea what I was doing. Don’t think it wasn’t the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I also didn’t overcome my fear in order to take the leap, I simply embraced the fear and let it drive me to work my tail off and learn from all of my mistakes and grow from every staging job I did.

I still remember making Alex come with me to consults and jobs in the beginning of phases of my business because I didn’t want to do anything by myself. I was so inexperienced and so afraid of failing, but somehow found the courage to keep pushing through and eventually thriving. I hope that gives you a little motivation and encouragement if this is something you also struggle with!

I am so grateful for every opportunity I’ve had along the way. Some of the opportunities didn’t pan out, and others proved to be pivotal milestones for me. With that being said, it’s time for me to close the doors on the “staging” side of my business to focus more on design, and our house renovation process. I have been juggling what feels like one million different projects and have been spreading myself so thin between them. I have felt for a while that I needed to close an aspect of my business, to focus on and grow in the other aspects that I am so passionate about. Honestly, you guys should see my house right now. I haven’t had a single second to think about decorating any of the rooms in the house. It’s basically still all bare bones.

I have a few more staging projects that I have already committed to over the next few months, but after that I will no longer be staging homes with my own furniture anymore. To be more specific, I am not dissolving Mint & Pine Design, but just closing the staging side while hitting the throttle on all of the design projects! I am also so excited to put so much more time into sharing all about our home renovation process with you all. I get asked so often about sources to all of the stuff in our house, so I will be sharing all of those sources here on the blog!

To wrap it up for you all, here are some staging projects I have done over the years, starting with my very first one!

This is one of the very first home I staged. It makes me cringe every time I look at it, but you have to start somewhere, right?

A few more homes from my early days. I feel like I mixed a lot of different styles into a hodge-podge back then.

I think this is the point when I started staging with nicer furniture, and developing my own style.

This Parade Home was so fun, because it had so many fun colors. It was called the “Kate Spade Home”.

This was the first home I staged for the big spring Boise Parade of Homes! The beams in this one were my favorite.

This is still one of my favorite homes to date! The moody tones were so good and so different for me.

Also, fun fact…I was 9 months pregnant when I staged this one. :)

This Fall Parade Home was right up my alley with all the light and airy feels.

The most recent Parade Home I staged, and probably some of my proudest work.
